Setting up your profile has never been easier and as this winter season has officially started, here are some of our top tips to help you improve your profile to secure more bookings.

  1. Upload a profile picture

As we all know, first impressions are extremely valuable, so choosing a great profile picture is the first and important step in setting up your profile. Your profile picture is one of the first things customers see when they search for their instructors so we recommend using a portrait photo of you from the shoulders up with a simple background or one of you in the mountains.

Here are some excellent examples of profile pictures from some of our brilliant instructors on the platform:

  1. Upload a variety of images/videos

Variety is key when uploading photos to your profile. Pictures can speak a thousand words so why not take this opportunity to show your style of teaching which could appeal to beginner customers as well as expert skiers and snowboarders?

When creating your profile, a piece of advice we like to ask our instructors is, if you were a customer looking for an instructor for yourself, family or friends – what images would you like to see? It’s incredibly beneficial to try and put yourself in the customer’s shoes and reflect on what images would make you want to book them.

If you ask us, we recommend a variety of images of you skiing and teaching different customers, such as children, adults, beginners or experts. Undoubtedly, this will greatly increase the possibility of receiving more bookings.

What’s more, you can also include a video created by us for FREE! Check out our co-founder’s video at the link below!

If you would also like to create your very own video and make your profile stand out even more, Send us an email at [email protected].

  1. How to fill out your the 3 sections in your biography

We understand that filling in a biography doesn’t always come easy to everyone so to help you, we have created templates for each section. These are simply guides to help you, so we still recommend that you add any personal touches and information that you think a customer would love to know!

If you wish to use any of these, feel free to copy and paste them into the sections of your biography and fill in the blanks.

  • Introduction

This section can be a sentence or two and can be a small introduction to welcome the customers to your profile. Here are some template examples that we have created. This is shown on the search results to potential customers.

Customers are keen to get to know you before booking, so this section gives you the opportunity to tell them about yourself. To give you some ideas, you can include information about your experience, qualifications, and why you chose to become an instructor. After speaking to many of you, we know some of you have some great stories and experiences, so we recommend you use this space to share with your customers for them to get to know you.

This is a very valuable part of your profile and one that customers love to read about when choosing their instructor. See below some template examples for this section:

Whatever you are looking for, you’re in the right place!

Having worked for ___ years as a ski/snowboard instructor, I have been able to develop many different teaching styles and provide a personal experience to whatever your ability is. However, the most important thing is that we have fun!

If you have any questions at all then please don’t hesitate to send me a message.

  • What to expect

Lastly, in this section, explain a little bit about what customers can expect a lesson with you to be like. Some questions to reflect when filling this out are, explain if you have a particular teaching style. What are your strengths? How do you help them work on their skills and achieve their goals? How will you ensure they have fun on the slopes but also how will you keep them safe?

Here are some template examples for this section:

What to Expect 1

All my lessons revolve around two priorities: staying safe and having fun! We will start every lesson with a few warm up runs on the pistes, then once I have a good idea of your ability I can plan the rest of the sessions to suit your goals. Whatever you want to achieve or explore, let me know and we can have a great time together.

What to Expect 2

Every lesson I create is completely different because every customer is completely different. Sometimes we will ski across the whole mountain, sometimes we will stay on the beginner slopes. The most important thing is to enjoy yourself so I will do everything to achieve that.

What to Expect 3

I try to focus on getting as much skiing as possible into each lesson. There will be lots of feedback to help you progress and this may also include using video footage so you can see exactly what needs to be done. Usually, we will focus on one or two main areas of improvement, as I find that this leads to more rapid improvement and less confusion. Above all else, we will have a lot of fun!
