Vogel Resort Overview

Perched high in the Julian Alps of Slovenia, Vogel Ski Resort sits at 1,535m, with its highest ski lift reaching a stunning 1,800m. The resort is located in the heart of Triglav National Park, boasting a picturesque location with panoramic views of Lake Bohinj and the surrounding mountain peaks.

Skiing in Vogel

Vogel offers a ski experience suitable for all levels of ability, with 22km of meticulously groomed pisted terrain to explore. The resort is serviced by a modern cable car system and several ski lifts, providing easy access to the slopes.

Beginner skiers can enjoy the gentle, wide nursery slopes located near the main ski lift, while more experienced skiers can test their skills on a variety of blue, red, and black runs. For advanced skiers, the Šija and Orlove glave slopes offer steep and challenging terrain.

How to Get to Vogel

The closest airport to Vogel is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which is a 1h 20m drive away. The next closest are Klagenfurt Airport in Austria (2h drive) and Trieste Airport in Italy (2h 30m drive).

There are several bus services from Ljubljana to Lake Bohinj, and from there you can take a local bus or taxi to the Vogel cable car station. If you’re driving, there is plenty of parking available at the cable car base station.
