The beautiful Val di Fassa village sits in the heart of the Dolomites at an altitude of 1,320m, with the highest ski lift reaching up to 2,625m. Skiing in Val di Fassa
Val di Fassa is a paradise for skiers of all abilities. The resort offers three lift pass options: a beginner’s ski pass, a Val di Fassa-only ski pass and the full Dolomiti Superski pass, which provides access to an impressive 1,200km of pisted terrain.
From gentle slopes for beginners to more challenging pistes for seasoned skiers, Val di Fassa has it all. Beginners can enjoy the easy slopes at Fraine-Pera di Fassa, while the Belvedere and Col Rodella areas are excellent for intermediates, with a variety of blue and red runs.
For more advanced skiers, the resort presents some spectacular black runs in the Canazei and Alba areas. If you crave off-piste skiing, the Val Lasties and the Pordoi Couloir will not disappoint. The resort also boasts two snowparks for freestyle enthusiasts: the Morea Snowpark and the Aloch Nightpark, the latter being illuminated at night for those daring enough to take on the jumps and rails after sunset.

For something more relaxed, the Wine Bar Valentin is a must-visit, offering a wide selection of wines in a cosy setting.

Val di Fassa boasts a variety of excellent restaurants serving both local and international cuisine. For an authentic taste of the region, visit L’Fana, known for its traditional Ladin dishes. For pizza lovers, Pizzeria Winkler in Moena is a popular choice. For a mountain lunch with a view, the Baita Checco at Ciampac or the Rifugio Salei at Passo Sella are both excellent choices.
How to Get to Val di Fassa
The quickest way to reach Val di Fassa from the UK is by flying to Innsbruck Airport (2h25m transfer), Venice Marco Polo Airport (2h30m transfer), or Treviso Airport (2h50m transfer). If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Bolzano, from where regular buses run to the resort. For those driving, the resort offers ample parking facilities.
