Les Menuires Resort Overview

Located in the Belleville Valley lies Les Menuires, a charming ski resort at an altitude of 1,850m. With the highest ski lift reaching 2,804m, this resort is part of the world-renowned Three Valleys ski area, which offers a staggering 600km of diverse, skiable terrain. 

Established in the 1960s, Les Menuires offers a blend of traditional and modern, ski-in-ski-out style accommodations, including chalets, apartments and hotels. Snow reliability is one of the resort’s strongest suits, with a thick layer of snow covering the village throughout the ski season, which usually extends from December to April. 

Skiing in Les Menuires

Les Menuires offers spectacular skiing opportunities for all skill levels. The resort provides three lift pass options; a beginners pass, a Les Menuires only pass, which provides access to the 39 lifts in Les Menuires and over 160km of pistes, and finally, the full Three Valleys ski pass, which opens up a massive 600km of pisted terrain to explore.

The resort is particularly favourable for beginners, with a plethora of gentle, wide slopes to learn on. For intermediate skiers, Les Menuires is a paradise, offering an extensive range of runs across the Three Valleys ski area. Advanced skiers are also well catered for, with steep, black runs and challenging off-piste opportunities.

The resort also hosts a series of freestyle events annually, making it a freestyle haven. Freestyle enthusiasts will appreciate the BK Park, with its array of jumps and rails, and the Waouland Funpark, designed for those looking to develop their skills.

Is Les Menuires Family-friendly?

Les Menuires has a reputation for being a fantastic family ski resort. The pedestrianised centre makes it a safe haven for families, and there is a broad range of ski-in-ski-out accommodation to pick from. The resort offers a variety of family-friendly amenities, including child-friendly restaurants, an indoor sports centre, an outdoor sledging area and even a fun park for kids.

In terms of après-ski, Les Menuires has an intimate, relaxed atmosphere with numerous bars and restaurants to enjoy. Le Mousse and Le Challenge are popular spots for live music, while Le Tilbury is perfect for those looking for a cosy, traditional French bar. For late-night revellers, Le Leeberty is a lively nightclub that stays open until the early hours.

For food lovers, Les Menuires offers a variety of restaurants serving both local and international cuisine. On the mountain, we recommend Le Corbeleys for its traditional Savoyard fare, while in the resort, La Ferme de Reberty serves delightful gourmet dishes. How to Get To Les Menuires

The quickest way to reach Les Menuires from the UK is to fly to Geneva Airport, which is approximately a 2h30m transfer from the resort. Other nearby airports include Lyon Saint-Exupéry (2h15m), Chambéry-Savoie (1h30m), and Grenoble (2h). If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Moutiers, a 30-minute drive from the resort. There are also ample parking facilities available for those choosing to drive.
