Les Gets is a charming French resort situated at 1,172m, with its highest ski lift reaching up to 2,002m. This resort is part of the large Portes du Soleil ski area, which boasts 650km of diverse, skiable terrain to explore. 

The resort is a traditional Savoyard village, offering a range of accommodation options, from luxury chalets, comfortable hotels, to self-catered apartments. The resort is renowned for its beautiful, tree-lined slopes and enjoys a good snow record throughout the ski season, typically running from mid-December to mid-April.

Skiing in Les Gets

Les Gets offers tremendous skiing for skiers of all levels. You have the choice of a Les Gets-Morzine ski pass, granting access to 120km of pisted terrain, or the full Portes du Soleil ski pass, unlocking a whopping 650km of piste.

Beginners can enjoy the gentle, wide slopes of Les Chavannes, while those looking for a bit more challenge will find a variety of blue and red runs on the Mont Chéry side of the resort. For the more advanced skiers, black runs such as Yeti, located at the top of La Rosta, offer a thrilling challenge. 

Les Gets is also a paradise for freestyle skiers and snowboarders, with the resort’s snowpark, located on Mont Chéry, offering a range of jumps and rails for all abilities. Not to mention, the resort’s location within Portes du Soleil opens up an extensive range of off-piste opportunities.

Les Gets has a vibrant après-ski scene with a selection of bars and pubs where you can unwind after a day on the slopes. Bar Bush at the foot of the slopes is a popular spot for post-ski drinks, with live music and a buzzing atmosphere. L’Igloo Chalet Club is the go-to nightclub for those looking to dance late into the night.

Les Gets offers a fantastic selection of restaurants, both in the village and on the mountain. For a gourmet treat, try La Pela, which offers traditional Savoyard cuisine in a cosy setting. For something more casual, Le Boomerang offers a diverse menu and a relaxed atmosphere. On the mountain, La Grande Ourse on Mont Chéry offers stunning panoramic views alongside its delicious menu.

How to Get to Les Gets 

The quickest way to get to Les Gets from the UK is to fly into Geneva Airport, which is just over an hour’s drive away. Other nearby airports include Chambery Airport (1h30m), Lyon St-Exupéry Airport (2h15m), and Grenoble Airport (2h30m). If travelling by train, the nearest station is Cluses, a 30-minute drive from the resort. For those driving, there are several car parks available in and around the resort.
