Arabba Resort Overview

Located in the Italian Dolomites, the village of Arabba sits at an elevation of 1,602m with the highest ski lift reaching 2,752m. The resort is perched on the Sella Ronda ski circuit and provides an entryway into the vast Dolomiti Superski area, which offers an impressive 1,200km of diverse, skiable terrain.

Arabba is a traditional Alpine village that boasts an array of accommodation options including cosy apartments, inviting chalets and luxurious hotels, many offering ski-in-ski-out convenience. With reliable snow conditions and the ski season typically running from late November to early April, Arabba is a haven for winter sports enthusiasts. 

Skiing in Arabba

Arabba is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The resort offers access to a remarkable 122km of pisted terrain, with a variety of slopes to suit beginners through to experts. 

Beginners can take advantage of the gentle slopes in the village to gain confidence, while intermediate skiers will enjoy the long, winding red runs that descend from Portavescovo. Advanced skiers will be challenged by the black runs in the area, particularly the steep and often icy slopes of Portavescovo and the challenging Marmolada Glacier.

Arabba offers plenty of off-piste opportunities, especially in the area surrounding the Marmolada Glacier. Breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomites add to the experience.

Is Arabba Family-friendly?

Après-Ski Scene in Arabba

The après-ski scene in Arabba is more relaxed than in many larger resorts, with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. The village is home to several inviting bars where you can unwind after a day on the slopes. Fienile Monte and Bar Heidi are popular spots, offering local wines, beers, and a range of cocktails. 

For a memorable après-ski experience, head to Bar Peter, known for its live music and vibrant atmosphere. Alternatively, Pasticceria Caffe Gelateri Genziana is the perfect spot for a quiet drink, offering a range of high-quality Italian wines and spirits, as well as delicious pastries and ice creams.

Dining in Arabba

Arabba boasts a variety of restaurants serving both local and international cuisine. For a taste of traditional Italian fare, visit Ristorante Albergo Pordoi, which serves classic dishes such as pasta, risotto, and tiramisu. For a more luxurious dining experience, head to Miky’s Grill, known for its gourmet menu and extensive wine list. 

For lunch on the slopes, Rifugio Plan Boe provides stunning panoramic views and a menu filled with local specialities. Alternatively, Ristorante Pizzeria Salin offers delicious, authentic Italian pizzas, perfect for a quick lunch before heading back to the slopes.

How to Get To Arabba 

Getting to Arabba from the UK is relatively straightforward, with several nearby airports to choose from. The closest airports are Bolzano Airport (1h 40m), Treviso Airport (2h 10m) and Venice Marco Polo Airport (2h 20m). If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Brunico, which is approximately a 1h 20m transfer from Arabba. If you choose to drive, Arabba is well-connected by road and offers ample parking facilities.
