Adelboden Resort Overview

Set amidst the breathtaking Bernese Oberland, Adelboden is a charming Swiss ski resort perched at 1,350m. The highest ski lift takes you up to 2,362m, opening up the vast, interconnected Adelboden-Lenk ski area with 210km of beautifully groomed pistes.

Constructed in the 1900s, the serene, car-free resort offers an array of comfortable, traditional wooden chalets and modern hotels, all ideally situated for ski-in-ski-out convenience. The high-altitude resort is known for its reliable snowfall and typically enjoys a strong snow cover from mid-December to mid-April.

Skiing in Adelboden

Adelboden is a skier’s paradise, offering a mix of terrain to cater to every level of skier. The combined Adelboden-Lenk ski pass grants access to over 210km of pisted terrain, serviced by 72 lifts, ensuring vast and varied skiing opportunities.

Newcomers can start on the gentle slopes around Geils, while intermediates can enjoy the wide array of blue and red runs scattered throughout the region. For advanced skiers, the black run under the Luegli chairlift or the legendary World Cup slope on the Chuenisbärgli are must-tries.

Snowboarders and freestyle skiers will appreciate the Gran Masta Park, while off-piste skiing enthusiasts can explore the untouched snowfields around the Hahnenmoos Pass or the Laveygrat.

How to Get to Adelboden

The quickest way to reach Adelboden from the UK is to fly into Bern Airport, which is a 1h20m drive away. Other nearby airports include Basel Airport (2h) and Zurich Airport (2h30m). If you’re travelling by train, the closest station is Frutigen, just a 30-minute bus ride from the resort.
