Profiles on Maison Sport are scored and ranked according to several factors, including the quality of written content and images as well as your level of interaction with the platform and number of reviews. Higher-ranked profiles will appear higher in customer searches – resulting in more bookings!

To have a high score, your profile must be 100% complete. You can view your profile score on your account dashboard.

Here you can find some of our top tips to help you optimise your profile, rank higher and secure more bookings.

Tip: When creating or editing your profile, it’s helpful to put yourself in the customer’s shoes and reflect on what images and information might make them want to book.

1. Upload a strong profile picture

Your profile picture is one of the first things customers see when searching for an instructor, so you want to make a good first impression! While your picture doesn’t impact the service you provide, it can greatly influence a customer’s decision-making process, so a better photo will lead to more bookings.

Use a high-quality portrait photo of you from the shoulders up with a simple background (or one of you in the mountains). It is important to have an image that is friendly yet professional. We recommend showing your eyes (e.g. no ski goggles or sunglasses), as this can make you look more approachable – a smile is also encouraged!

Here are some excellent examples of profile pictures from some of our brilliant instructors on the platform:

2. Upload a variety of images/videos

Variety is key when uploading your four featured photos to your profile. Pictures can speak a thousand words, so take this opportunity to showcase your personality and your style of teaching. We recommend uploading a selection of images of you skiing and teaching different customers, such as children, adults, beginners and experts. This will greatly increase the possibility of receiving more bookings. Videos can also be featured on your profile, which can be very impactful!

3. Fill out the 3 sections in your biography

Your biography helps customers to get to know you. The more they know about you, the more confident they may feel about booking with you. We recommend that you add any personal touches and information that you think a customer would love to know!

  • Introduction

This is a small introduction to welcome customers to your profile. Sell yourself in one line and keep it friendly in tone! What makes you stand out from other instructors? This is shown on customers’ search results, so you want to entice them to click on your profile.

  • About me

In this section it is helpful to include information about your experience, qualifications, and why you chose to become an instructor. Show your passion for skiing/snowboarding and the mountains!

Explain if you have a particular teaching style: What are your strengths? How will you help customers to work on their skills and achieve their goals? How will you ensure that they have fun on the slopes and how will you keep them safe?

  • What to expect

Lastly, in this section, explain a little bit about what customers can expect a lesson with you to be like. This should be useful and engaging for customers. Make sure to complete this section for each discipline that you teach and add a photo to accompany each lesson type. Each section needs to be unique to each particular service that you provide in order to score highly.
