There will be support for workers and businesses, such as a tax-exempt €600 payment to almost five million workers, including the self-employed whose earnings have been affected as a result of the emergency.

The new decree contains measures to help self-employed workers and to stop companies from laying off employees due to the financial fallout of the coronavirus crisis in Italy

The self-employed who have to take time off work to look after their kids will receive “parental leave” payments that cover half of their declared monthly incomes.
