Vogel Ski Area

The Vogel ski area is divided into two main sectors, both of which are accessible directly from the base of the mountain via a cable car. The ski area of Vogel consists of 14 runs, of which 29% are blue, 43% red and 28% black.

Beginner Skiing in Vogel

Vogel is an ideal destination for beginner skiers, with a wide array of gentle slopes and typically excellent snow conditions that make learning fun and easy. The resort has two main nursery slopes, at the top of the cable car and at the base of the mountain. Once beginners gain confidence, they can venture onto the gentle blue runs such as the Storeč and Kratki Plaz.

Intermediate Skiing in Vogel

With a range of blue and red runs, Vogel is a fantastic resort for intermediate skiers. The Žagarjev Graben area is a hotspot for intermediate-level skiers, offering a plethora of wide, sweeping red runs. A must-try run is the Orlove Glave, a popular red run that offers breathtaking views of Lake Bohinj. Vogel’s grading system leans toward the more challenging end of the spectrum compared to other European resorts, which makes it an ideal destination for intermediate skiers looking to push their limits.

Advanced Skiing in Vogel

Vogel offers an array of challenging terrain for advanced skiers. The black runs, such as the Globoko and Veliki Graben, offer steep descents and challenging conditions. Another challenging run is the Šija, a black mogul run that will test your stamina and technical skills. The Šija run is recommended for experienced skiers due to its steep gradient and unpredictable snow conditions.

Off-piste Skiing in Vogel

For the more adventurous skiers, Vogel offers an array of off-piste skiing opportunities. The most popular off-piste areas are the Podi and the Zadnji Vogel, both of which offer steep descents and fresh powder. These areas are best accessed early in the morning for fresh tracks.
