Nendaz Ski Area

Nendaz’s ski area is split into two main sectors; Tracouet and Siviez. Both areas can be easily accessed from the town centre. The ski area in Nendaz comprises 100 runs, with 15% green, 45% blue, 30% red and 10% black.

Beginner Skiing in Nendaz

Nendaz proves that it’s not just for the seasoned skiers, with a selection of nursery slopes and gentle runs perfect for beginners. The excellent snow conditions provide a great platform for learners, with two primary beginner areas, one in the village and another at the top of the Tracouet gondola. Once beginners gain confidence, they can explore the gentle slopes such as the Prarion and Jean-Pierre. We recommend beginners to return to the resort by lift, as the pistes towards the base are relatively challenging. The Tracouet area is recommended for lower-intermediate skiers, with an array of wide, easy-going blues. The advanced intermediates can explore the Siviez sector, where the red run ‘Tortin’ offers a thrilling ride. Remember, the grading system in Nendaz is slightly more challenging compared to other Swiss resorts, so plan your route accordingly!

Advanced Skiing in Nendaz

Nendaz is a paradise for advanced skiers with 10% of the resort’s runs being black, offering a variety of challenging terrain. The most famous run in Nendaz is the ‘Mont Fort’ run. Known for its steep gradient and over 1,300m vertical descent, it’s a must-try for any experienced skier. Off-piste Skiing in Nendaz

Nendaz is a favourite amongst expert skiers, offering some of the best lift-served off-piste skiing in Switzerland.
