The ski area in La Tzoumaz is extensive and varied, with a total of 55km of pistes. It offers 12% green runs, 39% blue, 38% red and 11% black, providing a balanced mix for all skill levels. The resort boasts of 12 lifts and 21 ski runs, ensuring there’s always something new to explore.

Beginner Skiing in La Tzoumaz

La Tzoumaz provides an excellent platform for beginners to take their first ski steps, with great nursery slopes and gentle runs. The Savoleyres area is perfect for beginners, with a variety of gentle green and blue runs. Once beginners have gained confidence, they can take the gondola up to the top of Savoleyres and enjoy the scenic run back down to the resort.

Intermediate Skiing in La Tzoumaz

For intermediate skiers, La Tzoumaz is great. With a plethora of blue and red runs, intermediate skiers can truly spread their wings. The red run ‘Vallon d’Arbi’ is a must-try, with its beautiful scenery and sweeping turns. Alternatively, for a more relaxed experience, the blue run ‘Les Etablons’ offers a leisurely cruise down a wide, tree-lined piste.

Advanced Skiing in La Tzoumaz

Advanced skiers are also well catered for in La Tzoumaz. The resort has several challenging black runs, including the ‘Taillay’ and ‘Vallon d’Arby’. These are long, steep descents that require skill and stamina. The ‘Vallon d’Arby’ is particularly challenging, with a vertical drop of over 800m and a length of 5km.

Off-piste Skiing in La Tzoumaz

La Tzoumaz is also a great resort for off-piste skiing. The backside of Savoleyres mountain offers a range of off-piste opportunities, from easily accessible powder fields to more challenging and technical descents. However, always remember to go with a qualified guide or instructor who knows the area well and can ensure your safety.
