Combloux is a charming resort known for its picturesque setting and excellent skiing conditions. Located at an altitude of 1,100m, this high-altitude resort forms part of the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area which boasts an impressive 445km of skiable terrain. Combloux offers stunning views of Mont Blanc, and with its own snowmaking facilities, it provides reliable snow conditions throughout the season.

With an efficient lift system connecting it to neighbouring resorts such as Megève and Saint-Gervais, Combloux offers a vast array of terrain to traverse. It caters well to skiers of all levels, with a range of challenging runs, off-piste skiing and beginner-friendly areas.

Combloux Ski Area

Combloux’s ski area is divided into three main sectors; Jaillet, Princesse and Cordon. Each of these is accessible from the town centre, offering 69 runs with 12% green, 37% blue, 38% red and 13% black.

Beginner Skiing in Combloux

Despite being well-known for its challenging terrain, Combloux offers an abundance of gentle slopes perfect for beginners. There are two main nursery slopes located in the village and the excellent snow conditions make for ideal learning environments. Once you’ve graduated from the nursery slopes, there are beginner-friendly areas like La Vormaine to explore. The simpler runs tend to be situated at higher altitudes, so if you’re not confident skiing back to the village, we recommend taking the lifts down. Combloux is home to some fantastic ski instructors who can introduce beginners to the most suitable areas and help them improve their skiing technique.

Intermediate Skiing in Combloux

Combloux is an ideal resort for intermediate skiers looking to test their skills. With a wealth of blue and red runs to explore, adventurous skiers will be spoilt for choice. The Princesse sector is perfect for intermediate skiers, with many wide, cruisy blues. For a thrilling descent, check out the red run Le Bouchet. It offers a swift ride down to the village with spectacular panoramic views. While Combloux’s grading system leans towards the challenging end of the scale, don’t let this deter you, it’s all part of the fun!

Advanced Skiing in Combloux

Combloux’s challenging terrain makes it a favourite among advanced skiers. The black run, Les Salles, is one of the most renowned runs in the resort. With a steep incline and a vertical drop of nearly 600m, it’s a thrilling ride. For mogul enthusiasts, the Mowgli run will test your skills with its steep and ungroomed terrain.

Off-piste Skiing in Combloux

Combloux offers plenty of off-piste skiing options for experienced skiers. The Vallée Blanche is a popular off-piste area, offering an exhilarating descent from the Aiguille du Midi. Be prepared for a challenging 2,700m vertical drop! As always, when venturing off-piste, we recommend hiring a local guide or instructor equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to keep you safe.

Snowparks in Combloux

Combloux is home to a fantastic snowpark, the Jam Park, which caters to freestyle skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. With jumps, boxes, rails and a half-pipe, it’s a great place to try some tricks.
