The ski area in Bruneck-Kronplatz is divided into three main areas; Pracken, Miara and Ried, all of which are easily accessible from the resort. The ski area consists of 32 runs, with 50% categorised as easy (blue), 45% intermediate (red), and 5% difficult (black).

Beginner Skiing in Bruneck-Kronplatz

Despite its reputation as a resort that caters mainly to advanced and expert skiers, Bruneck-Kronplatz also offers excellent beginner zones. There are two main beginner areas, one at the base of the mountain and another at the top, providing gentle slopes for learners. Once you’ve gained confidence, you can move on to explore the gentle blue runs like Plateau and Miara. We recommend taking the gondola back down if you’re still developing your skills, to avoid the more challenging lower runs.

Bruneck-Kronplatz is an ideal resort for intermediate skiers, with a multitude of red runs that will challenge and push their abilities. Pracken and Ried areas are great for intermediate skiers, offering a variety of wide, flowing red runs. For a thrilling experience, try the Pre da Peres run, a long and enjoyable red run that winds its way down from the summit. Do remember that the grading system in Bruneck-Kronplatz is slightly tougher compared to other resorts, so take this into account when planning your route.

Advanced Skiing in Bruneck-Kronplatz

Bruneck-Kronplatz is a paradise for advanced skiers, with a selection of demanding black runs and off-piste opportunities. The most famous black run in the resort is the ‘Sylvester’, known for its steep sections and breathtaking views. For a real challenge, try the ‘Herrnegg’ run, a long, ungroomed mogul run that will test even the most experienced skiers.

Bruneck-Kronplatz offers several off-piste areas for experienced skiers, from steep chutes to vast, snow-filled bowls. One popular off-piste route is the Arndt run, accessed from the top of the Kronplatz 2000 lift.
