Located at 1,850m, it forms part of the Dolomiti Superski area, a remarkable network providing 1,200km of skiable terrain, known for having reliable snow conditions. With an efficient lift system and connected to the neighbouring resort of Val Gardena, Alpe di Siusi offers much to explore. Best suited for beginner and intermediate skiers, it provides some excellent runs and off-piste skiing opportunities.

Alpe di Siusi Ski Area

The Alpe di Siusi ski area consists of 60km of skiable terrain, comprising 175 runs, of which 52% are blue, 35% red and 13% black. The ski area is connected to Val Gardena, providing access to the renowned Sella Ronda circuit.

Beginner Skiing in Alpe di Siusi

Alpe di Siusi is a paradise for beginner skiers, with a multitude of gentle slopes and wide runs, perfect for those taking their first steps on the snow. The resort’s excellent snow conditions and uncrowded slopes make for a stress-free learning environment. The Spitzbühl beginner area is a great place to start, with its gentle slopes and dedicated magic carpet lifts. Once beginners have gained confidence, the blue-rated Bullaccia and Panorama runs offer a slightly more challenging but still manageable terrain. Alpe di Siusi boasts some fantastic  instructors who can guide beginners to the best areas for their skill level.

Intermediate Skiing in Alpe di Siusi

Alpe di Siusi offers a plethora of blue and red runs, making it an excellent choice for intermediate skiers. The red-rated Laurin run, which starts from the top of the Bullaccia lift, offers a thrilling descent with stunning views of the surrounding Dolomites. For a unique experience, try the 6km long Alpe di Siusi – Ortisei run, which takes skiers through a beautiful larch forest and offers breathtaking views of the valley below.

Advanced Skiing in Alpe di Siusi

While not as challenging as some other resorts, Alpe di Siusi does offer several black runs for advanced skiers. The most challenging is the black-rated Williamshütte run, which features a steep descent and requires a high level of skill and confidence. Advanced skiers may also enjoy the challenge of the Slalom run, a former World Cup course.

Off-piste Skiing in Alpe di Siusi

While Alpe di Siusi is best known for its groomed slopes, there are also some off-piste opportunities for those who prefer to venture beyond the marked trails. The Val Duron area offers some challenging off-piste terrain, with steep slopes and deep powder. However, these areas should only be attempted with a local guide who is knowledgeable about the terrain and able to ensure your safety.

Snowparks in Alpe di Siusi

For freestyle enthusiasts, Alpe di Siusi offers the King Laurin Snowpark, equipped with jumps, boxes, rails and a halfpipe. The park is suitable for all levels, with areas for beginners, intermediates and pros.
