Skiing in Bovec offers an exhilarating experience for skiers of all levels. The resort offers two types of ski passes: a Kanin-only ski pass enabling access to the 15km of pistes in Bovec and a Kanin-Sella Nevea ski pass that opens up an additional 30km of skiable terrain.

Beginners can get accustomed to the slopes at the specially designated areas near the base station. For intermediate skiers, the Prevala run offers a thrilling experience, while the Podi run is a must-try for advanced skiers. With 45km of pisted terrain, there is enough to keep everyone entertained.

Freestyle skiing and snowboarding are also popular in Bovec, with the resort hosting freestyle events every winter. The Snow Park Bovec, designed with jumps and obstacles, caters to freestyle enthusiasts.

Bovec may be a small resort, but it has a vibrant après-ski scene. With several bars and pubs, you can enjoy a laid-back evening or party into the night. Kaninska Koca, located near the base station, is a popular spot, known for its lively atmosphere and live music.

For a unique après-ski experience, head to Boka, a bar carved into a natural cave. If you are looking for a late-night venue, Gostilna ob Soči is a local favourite and stays open till late.

How to Get to Bovec

The quickest way to reach Bovec from the UK is to fly to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which is a 2h transfer from Bovec. Other nearby airports include Trieste Airport (2h 30m) and Venice Marco Polo Airport (3h). If you are travelling by train, Most na Soči is the nearest station (1h transfer). Bovec is also easily accessible by road, with ample parking available in the resort.
